I think you are confusing being a moral and decent human being with only being Christian. Religion has zero to do with one’s goodness - having a spiritual relationship with Source or God or Buddha or Allah or ascended masters or whatever you believe in - all teach and lead to kindness and compassion. Forcing only one way (Christianity) on others seems the exact opposite of what a benevolent and gracious God would want.
