I feel like this message is playing out in corporate all over today - where so many people - notably the younger generations - are opting out instead of suffering in jobs they find meaningless. So many older generations scoff at the lack of a work ethic for these folks but I wonder if this younger generation may subconsciously have an understanding of The Shift? As in, maybe they aren’t aware of the shift itself, but perhaps they are recognizing that they don’t want what their parents had…they want peace and joy more than material things. Least that is how I am interpreting these changes going on.

Jodie - I love this forum and your articles because I am still stuck in the ‘should’ world where I don’t feel I can talk openly about the shift as it is so taboo in corporate circles and wider society. Yet, reading these messages and hearing from others who are on their journeys gives me so much hope that many of us - as well as the younger generation as a whole - are beginning to fight more openly for balance and equality. I do admire your work and courage to speak up and not be afraid of ridicule and shame - you’re my hero Jodie!
