Beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes. We made the very difficult decision to put our son in RTC when he was 12 years old. July 20, 2010 was the day we let him go and I will never forget how difficult it was. Your words describe it all so well. One of the hardest things we ever did as parents but also the best. He came out of RTC on August 24, 2012 and although it’s not been an easy road, those 2 years gave him - and our family - the tools we all needed. Not sure any family fully heals from those experiences but it can get better. Keep the hope alive. Thank you for sharing.
